Culzean Castle Sheraton Style Armchair
This Sheraton style armchair, from a set of six currently displayed in the famous oval Saloon at Culzean, is painted in café-au-lait and green japanned colours, with stars and anthemion decoration. It has a caned seat and squab cushion made in the fabric of your choice.

Dimensions: 56 x 51 x 45/84cm (22" x 20" x 18/36")
Price: £540 excluding cushion fabric

This chair can also be painted any colour to match a room scheme. Our
standard finish is an antique white, picked out with coloured coach lines.

Chinese Chippendale

Culzean Castle Chinese Chippendale Chair
Made in the Chinese Chippendale Style, these chairs are important for Culzean beacause they are probably the only documented furniture made for, and still surviving in, the house.

There is a bill dated 1793 from Young, Trotter and Hamilton, leading
cabinet makers in Edinburgh, made out to Archibald Kennedy, The Earl of
Cassilis for eight Bamboo Rush Bottom’d Chairs, neatly painted at 20
shillings 6 pence.
